Manage Pain and Restore Movement With Exercise
Pain shouldn't define your life. At Exercise for Rehabilitation & Health, we understand how limiting pain can be. Our team combines expertise in physiotherapy and exercise physiology to create personalised programs that help you move better and manage pain effectively.
We don't just treat symptoms. We work with you to understand the underlying causes of your pain and movement difficulties. Our approach is hands-on, practical and based on the latest evidence. The goal is to help you build strength, improve mobility and develop strategies that work in real life.

"We believe in treating the whole person, not just the condition. Our team works together to provide coordinated care that addresses all aspects of your health and wellbeing."

- Clinical Reformer Pilates
Precise, controlled exercises using specialised equipment to enhance core stability, body awareness and movement control. Our clinical approach ensures exercises are specifically tailored to your needs and conditions.
Our Approach to Pain and Movement
We start by listening, because we understand that your experience and goals matter. During your initial assessment, we'll take time to understand your condition, how it affects your daily life, and what you hope to achieve.
From there, we develop a personalised program that meets you where you are now, while creating a pathway toward improved function. Some days will be better than others, and we get that. Our team provides ongoing support and adjusts your program as needed.
Trust us when we say that you're not just a patient; we’ll become your partner in your recovery. We'll help you understand your condition, give you strategies to manage them independently, and help you turn small wins into significant improvements over time
Frequently Asked Questions
Is exercise really safe when i'm in pain?
Yes. Modern pain science shows appropriate exercise is essential for recovery, and we’ll start with movements that feel safe and gradually build your confidence.
The right exercise actually helps reduce pain sensitivity over time and improves your body's natural pain control systems.
How soon will I notice improvement?
Everyone responds differently. Some people feel better after just a few sessions, while others take longer to see changes. What's most important is consistent practice of your program. Our team of experts will work with you closely and focus on small, achievable goals that build toward significant improvements in function and comfort.
What's different about your approach compared to other places?
Our integrated team combines physiotherapy and exercise physiology expertise under one roof. This means comprehensive care without having to repeat your story to multiple providers!
We focus not just on what's wrong, but on building what's right – your strength, capability and confidence.
Will I need to keep coming forever?
Our goal is to help you become independent in managing your condition. While some people benefit from ongoing support, most clients transition to self-management with periodic check-ins. We'll teach you how to adapt your program as your needs change.
Do I need a referral to get started?
No referral is needed to book an appointment, though referrals from GPs may provide access to Medicare rebates through Chronic Disease Management plans. We also accept WorkCover, TAC, DVA and NDIS clients.
What should I wear and bring to my first appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and bring any relevant medical reports or imaging. Most importantly, come prepared to tell us your story – what's working, what's not, and what matters most to you.
